Laying a Foundation for the Future.  The first six years of a child’s life are the most important in developing attitudes toward self, others, authority and learning. Toddlers Campus is a fun and formative environment that allows for proper development in each of these areas.

Purpose and Philosophy.  Since 1974, Toddlers Campus has provided a quality preschool education for children in  Wheaton and  the surrounding communities.  We provide, within a Christian framework, an environment of understanding and acceptance where the young child can experience growth, development, and learning at his or her own pace.  In this environment, they are encouraged to   develop self-control, to listen to and follow directions, to develop a sense of responsibility, and to get along with others.  Our philosophy is one of freedom for the child to explore and discover the world around them within a stimulating, structured school setting.  We believe that the task of rearing and training preschool children is essentially the responsibility of the parents in the home.  However, a good home may seek out every resource possible to benefit the child.  We see ourselves as one of those resources, a supplement to the home.  We want to give them a head start and a heart start.

Curriculum:

We provide a Christ-centered curriculum where children learn through play using a hands-on approach.  Our environment allows the children to explore, experiment, and socialize in a carefully planned classroom.  The structure provides children space for self-initiated activities as well as those that are teacher-guided.

Our Curriculum incorporates the following goals:

  • To help children form a positive view of his/her position as a child of God.
  • To encourage his/her spiritual development
  • To encourage children to gain independence
  • To learn to work and play cooperatively
  • To enable children to express themselves through a variety of media
  • To begin forming concepts of print and math literacy
  • To build self-confidence through achievement
  • To develop problem solving skills and stimulate curiosity and creativity
  • To be enthusiatic about school

Toddler's Campus has been serving preschoolers and their families since 1974. The school is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services and all staff members meet or surpass licensing requirements.
